Satin Black
We got our hands on this stunning 2017 Mercedes AMG GTS for customisation, which came to us in a Gloss Metallic Silver colour from the factory. It was decided that the car would be wrapped in 3M’s new 1380 Satin Black material – a premium high quality finish that emphasises the shapes and accents in the bodywork of the AMG.

The Process
The bodywork of the vehicle was wrapped in Satin Black, and was topped with gloss red highlights on the bodywork and alloy wheels, as well as custom stripes on the bumpers, bonnet and roof.
To complement the satin black wrap, the rear lights and indicators were given a subtle tint; the front and rear badges were given a gloss black finish. To continue the gloss red highlights, the front and side badges were also coated in vibrant gloss red.
Grille areas are also highlighted with gloss red, finishing off the striking look of the car.

The Results
We took the AMG GTS out for photos, and wow! The completed car is a total transformation and is unrecognisable from the gloss silver it was before – the deep satin black finish combined with the sharp gloss red really gives the car attitude, the gloss and satin finishes complimenting each other and emphasising areas of the car.
